All In a Day's Work!

Check out what some of my fabulous client's are saying!

"We hired Michelle to help stage our home for a quick sale so we could begin our new life in Florida. Our 1st walk through helped us understand that Michelle was very interested in our needs and expectations in selling our home. She gained a complete understanding of our expectations then went to work. She was able to utilize our existing home and furniture, candidly share how to change certain features and rooms, and incorporated her talent to solve the remaining pieces that tied everything together. She was sensitive to all our needs; including time and money. Our home sold in (1) day!

Michelle exceeded my expectations in every way. She was innovative, always on time, and very professional. We are going to use her remotely when we buy our new home in Florida!"

Staging Your Home to Sell vs. Staging to Enjoy Everyday Living
In today’s economy, home staging can help a listing stand out from the multitudes of other comparable homes in the neighborhood.  After all, most home searches now begin on line and a staged home will always have better photos than an un-staged property!
The process of staging a real estate listing can result in a faster and more profitable sale. More than just decorating and de-cluttering, home staging is the process of maximizing the beauty and function of the home to help buyers see the full living potential.
Even if you aren’t selling you house, why not enjoy living in a home that LOOKS like a model but still feels like home? You don’t need to be moving to stage your space and you don’t need to spend a small fortune on a professional designer. Start by concentrating on the existing space and furnishings to reimage, redesign and rework the look and functionality of your room.
There are many reasons to re-design your space:
  • You just got married and trying to blend your taste with your spouse’s style – this isn’t as easy as falling in love!
  • Your children have moved out and you want to capitalize on the new space in your home – with YOUR style and not theirs.
  • You recently upsized or downsized your home.
  • You just want to update what you already have without spending a ton of money.
by Michelle Lynne will be hosting seminars at the DFW Home Improvement Show at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, August 28th and Sunday, August 29th.  Michelle will be discussing the differences as well as the benefits of “Staging To Sell” and “Staging To Live”.  Catch her at 3pm on Saturday and noon on Sunday.

10-4 Rubber Ducky

My "glamorous" job takes me to new places all the time.

No, this is not an advertisement for Subway or a getaway vacation.  This was my afternoon earlier in the week...you can see camera, iPhone, lunch, my travel water, calendar, and if you look carefully, my purse straps peeking up from the floor.  I spent my day schlepping around town buying furniture for our staging inventory.

Did I say my job was glamorous?  Let me tell you that the suspension in these trucks require a sports bra and there is no place to plug in your iPod.  I had to crank up the classic country station because that is what I imagined was playing in the "big boys" (18-wheelers) cabs.  Thankfully the air conditioning worked really well because it has been HOT.   And while I really do love my job, I wonder why they don't show these instances on HGTV?????
